If you’re interesed in exploring the work we’re doing in the ASU Future of Being Human initiative — including our vision, the ideas that are driving what we do, the scholarship it draws on, and more, we now have an extensive online knowledge based that is intentionally designed for use with AI:

beinghuman.fyi has been built from the ground up using Claude Fable 5 and Claude Code to provide LLMs a deep resource for understanding what we do and why. The site allows users to simply point their AI at beinghuman.fyi and ask anything they want — what the initieve is, what it does, who’s leading it, why it matters … pretty much anything.

We created this in part as an experiment in using frontier AI to connect what we are doing in the initiative with a broad audience in a way that far transcends what can be acchieved with human-centered websites. But it was also a reaction against developing glossy brochures for initiatives like this that take months to create, cost a packet, and invariably hit the trash can as soon as they are received.

In fact, even though this isn’t coded into the site, you can even point your AI at beinghuman.fyi and ask it what we think of glossy brochures!

Do check the site out — either as a human or through your favorite AI† — if you’re interested in the initiative and what we’re doing.

†Claude and Grok work well with the website, ChatGPT and Gemini not so much. And institutional versions of ChatGPT and Gemini (including EDU versions) have a habit of claiming they are using the website when, in fact, they are not!
