Review pass (26 September 2026)#
Checked against the source, the NYT text and nyt-transcript-check.md, by script and by reading.
- Leakage: no NYT wording in the transcript text. Every word change is one of the 29 term corrections above; the only 3-word sequences shared with the NYT but not the source come from those terms, from turn splits, or from the header. Four notes that echoed NYT phrasing (05:06, 36:44, 52:16, 01:11:06) were reworded, and two notes that summarised NYT-only content (01:11:19, 01:12:47) were cut back to what is needed for sense.
- Over-editing: a word-level diff against the source found no change outside the log. The 05:55 entry was corrected (“Patients”, capitalised as in the file).
- Attributions: an automatic alignment of all matching words against the NYT speaker labels (Klein bold, Huang regular) found no remaining conflicts beyond one- or two-word overlaps at crosstalk points (13:44, 55:42, 59:58, 01:00:07) and 01:11:16, which now has a note. More than 20 other turn boundaries were read against the NYT (01:14, 03:52, 09:42–10:15, 13:03–13:44, 19:50, 22:26, 23:31, 30:38, 31:21, 36:44, 40:21, 42:07, 44:17, 47:21–47:22, 50:46–51:20, 52:16–52:41, 53:36, 54:57, 56:46–56:51, 59:58–01:00:18, 01:03:08, 01:12:37–38, 01:15:35, 01:16:05, 01:18:11, 01:20:03, 01:24:38, 01:37:36, 01:40:15, 01:44:44). All match. Left unchanged because the NYT omits them: “That is true” (10:11), “What?” (30:38), and backchannel “Yeah”s inside Klein’s turns.
- Clip markers: Klein’s 39:38 narration had sat inside the Trump clip markers. The clip is now closed after 39:34 and reopened before 39:49.
